Join us for Unearth a Story this summer!

  • Storytime for Steggy's (Stegosaurus') is a fun outdoor summer reading program for the little ones ages birth through two years old. The Storytime will take place under the Oak Trees at the Mack Park Community Gardens every Tuesday morning at 11 AM. We'll read a couple new books and have an enjoyable activity for the wee ones, parents, siblings, and other guardians while we're at the park. Please bring a blanket or chairs for everyone as there is no seating in that part of the park.

Please be weather aware for this program as it takes place outdoors! If the weather threatens or proves to be disagreeable that morning, a notice will appear on our Facebook page and we will move the storytime to the children's department of the library. You can also call the children's department at 724-465-8841 x 6 if the weather seems "iffy."

Remember: If your little one is taking part in the Summer Reading Challenge, count the storytime reading minutes also! Anytime you read to your little one or listen to a book, those minutes count toward their reading goal of 200 minutes! Make sure you record those minutes in their reading account each day so that they have a chance at a prize at the end of our summer reading programs!
