Summer Reading Weekly ScheduleMondays
Storytime with the Brontosauruses: 11 AM Children’s Department. Children ages 3-5. Themed Story, songs, fingerplays and an easy craft. Dig in our prehistoric sandbox. Registration is required. Limited to twenty children. One caregiver must remain with their children.Tuesdays
Stegosaurus Storytime: 11 AM Mack Park Community Garden. Children ages birth to 2 years old. Bring a blanket or chair. Stories and outdoor activities. In case of bad weather, we will move to the library.Wednesdays
Marvelous Mosasaurs: 11 AM Community Room. Children ages 6-11. Themed story, virtual visit to a National Park or historical site, theme-related activities or a craft. Dig time in our prehistoric sandbox. Registration is required. Limited to 15 children. One caregiver must remain with their children.Thursdays
T-Rex STEAMers: 11 AM Tech Room. Children ages 8-11. All STEAM-related activities—are you up for the challenge? Dig time in our prehistoric sandbox. Registration is required. Limited to 10 children. One caregiver must remain with their children.Saturdays
-Wee Ones Storytime: 10:30 AM (Newborn–5 years) Gentle stories and bonding time.
-STEAM Play Day: 1–3 PM (2nd Saturday) Drop-in activities for kids ages 3–11.
-The Craft House: 1–3 PM (3rd Saturdays) Self-directed crafts ages 6–11 old.
-Historical Conquest Game Time: 10:15-12:30 PM (2nd Saturday) Tweens & Teens. Learn history through
gameplay.
-Game On! Board Game Day: 1–3 PM (4th Saturday) Open board gaming. Ages 3-11. -
Summer Reading Special EventsUnearth a Story Summer Reading Kick-Off: June 8. Blue Spruce Park Pavilion #3. 11 AM-2 PM. Learn about upcoming summer reading programs. Join us for games, activities, hot dogs, chips, and refreshments.
Unearth a Story Reading Challenge: June 1-July 31. Register your reader, log your minutes, and read to win prizes!
Summer Safety Workshops
June 2-4: Children ages 3-6 years old. 11 AM. Short Story, easy craft or
related activity snacks and refreshments. A special guest will present a
summer safety topic.
-June 2 – Water Safety.
-June 3 – Vehicle & Bike Safety.
-June 4 – Outdoor Safety.
Registration is required.Family Place Library Workshops
August & September. 10:30-noon. Children ages 1-3. Workshops will provide stories, handouts & hands-on learning experiences. Parents & children will work through these activities together.

-August 18 – Child Development & Motor Skills.
-August 25 – Food & Nutrition (Snack Craft Day)
