Celebrate America’s 250th with the Indiana Free Library on a special field trip to Fort Ligonier!

This free trip is open to 20 children ages 8–11, with one adult required to attend per child. Transportation and admission are provided by the Indiana Free Library.
Participants will explore Fort Ligonier, meet historical interpreters, and learn about life during the French and Indian War through the fort’s “Duties of the Day” program.
Important Information:
• Registration opens online Monday, June 15
• Space is limited to 20 children and 20 adults
• Children must be at least 8 years old to attend
• Please arrive at the library by 8:45 AM for departure
• Tours are outdoors — dress for the weather
• Bring a bagged lunch and drinks
The group is expected to return to the library around 3 PM.
For those who would like to attend the trip with the library, but are not able to register for the free trip on the bus: You may drive out and meet our library group at the fort, but the cost of the admission will be your responsibility. The cost will be the regular admission fee for adults at $17 and $12 for a child. Children under 3 are free of charge.
Please note: This program includes walking tours and possible musket or cannon demonstrations, which may be loud for younger children.
