Need help with homework? An art project? Looking for ideas? How about a little relaxing yoga for those little bodies? You can call (724) 465-8841 x 4 or drop in and our librarians will be glad to help you with our wide variety of children’s materials!

You can also find help online with our Learning Links! Check out our collection of some of the best links out there for homework, projects, learning life skills or just having fun. No library card is needed for most of these. Just click and explore. You'll find something for all ages of children.  Lots of ideas, resources, and fun things to do inside each one!

 

  • Six Websites in one! Through BookFlix,  CyberSmarts, Gale Kids Online,  True Flix,  Cricket Media and K--8 Collection you can track down eBooks, resources, information, and videos on just about any subject you're looking for. 

  • The library of Congress website offers learning and entertainment resources for kids and their families.

  • A wonderful website full of learning and homework resources for children of all school ages.  There are also numerous resources for teachers and parents.

  • Learn about our Earth and its other inhabitants! Play games, explore the world and its many cultures, read or watch a video, and check out the latest news from around the globe. 

  • Refdesk is free and family-friendly. The site is the single best source for facts on the Net; a one-stop site for all things Internet.

  • Reading Rockets is a national multimedia project that offers a wealth of research-based reading strategies, lessons, and activities designed to help young children learn how to read and read better. 

  • The International Children's Digital Library Foundation makes the best in children's literature available online free of charge. The Foundation has built a digital library of outstanding children's books from around the world. 

  • StoryPlace came about to provide children with the virtual experience of going to the Library and participating in the same types of activities the Library offers at its physical locations. 

  •  Need to move those little limbs? Stretch and relax your muscles with easy yoga poses from Cosmic Kids. It's the same program we use in Bend & Stretch at the Library.

  • Do you love being in the kitchen with mom or dad? Learn how to cook with this wonderful website! Lots of easy recipes for you and your family to enjoy!

  • Spatulatta is a website where kids teach kids to cook. Our main goals are to foster peer-to-peer learning, healthy eating, and teaching children life skills.

  • PBS Kids contains lots of stuff!! Games, videos, activities, eBooks, parenting resources, and much more! Just a click will show you how our local public broadcasting benefits all of us!

  • For Daria, It's all about empowering kids… letting them explore the world of music in a way that unlocks the amazing talent and inner beauty they naturally possess.

  • Classics for Kids is here to help you learn about classical music and have fun too! Made possible by  Cincinnati Public Radio.

  • Our goal is to help parents, kids, and teens take charge of their health. We aim to give families the tools and confidence to make the best health choices.

  • We offer free (classroom-tested) art lesson plans that teachers and parents can use to teach their students and children. In addition, we have a large list of useful art education articles and tips.

  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.
