Evening in the Stacks

Each year, we invite the community to a festive gathering inside the library's stacks to bring the community together to raise money to support the Indiana Free Library.

Evening in the Stacks is our premier fundraising event each year.  All of the contributions we receive enable us to continue to provide free, quality programming and services to the residents of our community. Please join us in our mission to serve and strengthen our community by supporting literacy and lifelong learning. 

Escape Room

Gather your friends and family on November 14th, 2026, for an immersive adventure in the stacks to find clues and solve puzzles to recover what has been lost. Will you escape the stacks with the lost novel in hand or will it remain a mystery?

Each group will sign up for a 45-minute time slot to enjoy our interactive escape room. Time slots are available on the hour from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The escape room is designed for all ages; children will be required to have an adult participate in their group. 

All proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit the annual fund at Indiana Free Library. The cost to reserve your escape room challenge is $100 for up to 4 players in a time slot, or $150 for up to 6 players.

Save the Date: 2027 Spring Egg-stravaganza

Join us on Friday, March 5th (tentative date), for our third annual Spring Egg Hunt inside the library—but not your traditional children's egg hunt! Live music, light bites, adult beverages, and an egg hunt will provide all the entertainment you never knew you needed on a Friday night. Easter eggs will be hidden around the library's stacks on all three floors of the library.

This is not your younger siblings' egg hunt—the hunt for fun is on for adults (21+) who are children at heart. Several of the eggs will contain grand prizes, which could include tickets to regional attractions, gift certificates, and more.

  10. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information? You may request access to all your personally identifiable information that we collect online and maintain in our database by emailing us using the contact form provided to you within the site structure of our website.

We are grateful for your donation and support of our organization. If you have made an error in making your donation or change your mind about contributing to our organization please contact us. Refunds are returned using the original method of payment. If you made your donation by credit card, your refund will be credited to that same credit card.
