Volunteers are integral to our organization.
Volunteering Is a Great Way to Support the Indiana Free Library!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Indiana Free Library.
Our volunteers play a vital part in maintaining the Indiana Free Library's high standard of service, and those contributions are always appreciated. We offer opportunities for you to get involved as a volunteer. Volunteer applications are accepted on an ongoing basis and also available on-site at the desk. Candidates who meet the library’s needs and availability will be contacted. Candidates’ applications will be kept on file for 1 year and notified when openings occur or when help is solicited for events. If you would like to help please contact us with the form below and an application will be mailed to you. We are certain we will find a way for you to make a difference.
Volunteer Opportunities Available
The Indiana Free Library is in search of part-time, temporary volunteers to work on a book tagging project for the library. Any available time will be appreciated. The project is estimated to take 3-6 months. Please consider if you are able to offer time to help your community in this way and either call the library at 724-465-8841 or send an email to email@example.com and let us know if you are willing and able to assist!
Reshelving books is a great way to help the library stay organized and keep the check-outs coming. Help is needed as a regular scheduled event as some training is involved. If you are available sporadically, try our Outreach option to assist with great events and community involvement. Thank you for supporting literacy!
We have many events throughout the year with Children, Teens, and Adults. Many hands make great events. Let us know when you are available and willing to assist and we can find an event that is right for you, or find a community involvement project. Your support is always appreciated.
Volunteer Guest Speakers
Sometimes we ask members of the community with skills on certain topics of interest to the community to offer informative programs through the library. We support the Pa Forward initiatives for literacy and our programs most often reflect on of those categories. We do not permit solicitation of any kind, but focus on community education. If you have a program that you think would draw people into a unique learning experience. Please leave you information below so someone can contact you. This is a great way to engage the community and keep people informed on many important topics.
