Fall Family Place Library Workshops
Join us for a five week series of "Hands on Play & Learn" workshops for kids 1-3 years old, their parents and caregivers (Infant and preschool siblings may attend with a registered toddler). Our fun early learning workshops will begin on Wednesday, September 16th.
Our series will consist of topics on Early Literacy, Language, Child Development, Food & Nutrition, and Music and Movement. Each workshop will consist of a very short presentation from the librarian or another professional on the topic and handouts and information brochures from people in the community who provide services within each category. Most importantly, we'll provide plenty of parent and child interaction time with child-driven free play in our sensory bins, work on an easy craft activity together, and learn gentle movement exercises along with mom, dad, or another caregiver.
Registration is required, but the workshops are free and open to the public. Each one will take place on Wednesday mornings starting at 11 AM and last approximately an hour with refreshments and nutritious snacks also provided by the library.
