IFL Family Programs
We here at IFL, observe many special dates throughout the year with related book displays, interesting and educational programs, or just plain fun events like our annual Remake Learning Day event in May, the always awesome Summer Reading Programs and Great Reading Adventure, the fun Gingerbread House Contest, Santa's Workshop during the It's a Wonderful Life Festival in December, National Library Week, and many more. This year we'll be celebrating not only the skill of our gingerbread house builders and other special events, but also see you at:
- National Library Lover's Month during the whole month of February.
- The Great Backyard Bird Count starting on February 13th and ending on the 16th.
- Read Across America Day March 2nd! Celebrate Dr. Seuss' birthday in style!
- Two additional Reading Challenges in March and October! Read and win prizes from the library!
- National Library Week (All kinds of events this week in the library), Sun, Apr 19th – Sat, Apr 25, 2026.
- The annual Remake Learning Days Full STEAM Ahead event on May 9th from Noon to 3 PM.
- Unearth a Story Great Reading Adventure. June 1st - July 31st 2026.
- Unearth a Story Summer Reading Programs. June 8th through July 30th 2026.
- National Sign-Up for a Library Card during the whole month in September.
- National Book Month during October.
- Annual Gingerbread House Display & Contest on the First Floor of the Library running from Monday, December 7th through Wednesday, December 16th.
- A workshop with some of Santa's helpers on December 12th in the Children's Department of the Library from 11 AM - 1 PM.
