DOL Homeschooler's Club: Special Local Author Book Reading for Earth Day! and (Bring a t-shirt) No-Sew T-shirt Tote Bag
Join us for a weekly Wednesday children’s program for homeschoolers aged 6-11. In our Discovery of Learning Homeschoolers Club, we’ll read and talk about different subjects (Science, technology, languages, the arts, cultures, nature, history, literature, etc.), learn how to research these subjects using library and internet resources, learn digital skills on various devices, and we'll provide instruction and materials for a thought-provoking experiment, craft, or art project to go with each week’s theme.
Children will have use of STEM Kits, library materials, internet computers, Chrome Books, and library resources. They will be instructed how to use all of these to help with their homework and other projects. Our DOL program will start at 2 PM and last approximately one hour. As always, our programs are free and open to the public and no registration is required for this program.
**PLEASE NOTE that this program is geared for kids aged 6 through 11 years old. Younger siblings can sit in on the program, but all activities and programs are planned for older children (Especially the cooking club). If you have a younger child who is a Toddler (2-3 years old), we have Toddler Tales on Monday mornings at 10:30 AM. If your children are pre-school or kindergarten age, we have an early education library program called Storytime at the Hen House on Thursday mornings at 10:30 AM and we have a fun Snack Craft every third Thursday of the month to prepare the little ones for Kids Can Cook!
