Fair Districts -- CANCELLED
There’s been a lot in the news lately about the political practice of gerrymandering. Gerrymandering is the “art” of drawing voting districts in a way that favors the majority party and leaves the other one unable to influence the legislative process. Fair Districts PA is working to change the process in our state by supporting an Independent Redistricting Commission, consisting of Republican, Democratic and Independent citizens (not elected politicians) to draw the voting district maps. Join Indiana County FDPA coordinators Stanley Chepaitis and Sid Reger, who will review the current process and describe how the bills before the legislature would create redistricting reform for Pennsylvania.
