Success with Roses - If you love roses but have not had luck in the past, come to this informative session that will cover strategies you can use to grow roses that thrive in our Western PA climate. Penn State Master Gardener, Julie Baker, will cover topics such as soil, site location, rose selection, pruning and diseases and pests. She will draw from her experience of 40 years of rose gardening, along with evidenced-based literature from Penn State, to help you grow roses that will be the envy of your neighborhood.

Julie has been growing roses for more than 40 years and received her Master Gardener certificate ten years ago. She has a large rose garden that has produced many prize-winning roses over the past several years.
