Teen Gardening
Tending to and establishing our own IFL Garden.
These are scheduled times where teens and guests will create fairy gardens, paint colorful rocks, decorate the garden (American Flags) and create solar decor after watering and cutting any weeds present with scissors, planting and watering seeds, bulbs and tubes. We will label and identify plants on our own 9th Street garden. We will also water inside houseplants and learn about the different kinds we see with our plant journals-like what is inside the library stacks-and end the hour with a smoothie and/or cool drink and snack in the community room.
