Your library card gives you access to hundreds of thousands of downloads across various types of media, both within the library and through our eResource collections. Use your library card to set up an account with these free online resources. Some may require you to have an email address and a PIN linked to your account. Please visit the library's front desk if you need to add or update your email address and PIN.

Ebooks and Audiobooks

  • access to ebooks and audiobooks. This app-based service is available on most tablets and smartphones. When you are setting the app up, choose the Johnstown District libraries.

Magazines

  • RB Digital offers over 50 popular magazines at your fingertips. Library card barcode is your password to the Largest Newsstand in the World!

  • Offers a wide range of highly interactive, instructor-led courses that you can take entirely online. Courses run for six weeks and new sessions begin every month.

  • Offers comprehensive academic and career-related resources. Building basic skills, conducting a successful job search and preparing for high-stakes exams such as high school equivalency college admissions, and career licensing just got easier.

  • The world’s largest database of American food, culture, and recipes. A great tool to research food based on region, ethnic groups, even historical information. Explore where food comes from while enjoying new recipes. It even has a list of farmer's markets, including some at our own doorsteps.   • A self-guided online software program that teaches you how to code through
    hundreds of coding tutorials and dozens of real-world projects. Prenda offers a gamified learning
    experience ― as you progress through the activities, you’ll earn clothes and accessories for your
    personal avatar.
