X-WR-CALDESC:Join us for Unearth a Story! Two whole month of fun and learni
ng here at the library! T-Rex STEAMers is an awesome educational program f

study of past human life and culture through discovery and examination of
material remains\, such as artifacts\, architecture\, and landscapes. In o
ther words\, the study of things that people who lived long ago have left
behind. Each week will be a new adventure so remember to wear your fedora!
We'll also have a 'dig box' in the children's department so budding archa
eologists can learn and practice their dig skills. \n\nDuring the week of
July 4th\, we will take a break and celebrate our nation's 250th birthday
with a special art craft on July 2nd.\n\nFinally\, in July\, we'll move on
to the extinct critters that walked the Earth a long time ago-Paleontology
 ! We'll discover prehistoric life—including dinosaurs\, plants\, and micro
bes—through fossilized remains\, using geology and biology to understand E
 arth's history\, ecosystems\, and evolution. Again\, you'll get to spend s
ome time in the dig box with your own trowel and brush\, looking for fossi
ls and other remains of ancient Earth.\n\nOur T-Rex STEAMer program is fre
e and open to the public\, but Registration IS required to attend and it i
s limited to ten children. Children MUST be at least 8 years old to partic
ipate and an adult must remain with their child(ren) for the duration of t
he program. Look for the 'Register Now' button at the top of this page\, c
lick on it\, and fill out the necessary information. You won't be able to
register for the whole summer at once. Just one program at a time and next
week's program will be open for registration as soon as one ends. Also\,
please wear clothes that you don't mind getting a little dirty if you plan
on spending time in the dig box.\n\nThis should be a really fun summer\,
so get ready for some STEAM time with dinos!
