 . I hear you\, and I get it. \n\nThis is a program that has had some succe
 ss at other libraries\, and because I’ve heard this frustration from other
 s in this age group\, I’m willing to give it a shot. The idea is similar t
 o speed-dating (sit down across from a stranger\, chat for a few minutes\,
  switch strangers when the bell dings\, and hope to leave having made at l
 east one meaningful connection)\, except the end goal is friendship. We’ll
  start out with the chair-swapping\, timed introductions and small talk (i
 ce breaker prompts provided but not mandatory) and then you’ll be free to 
 break off and play games\, make crafts\, or just chat with others. \n\nThi
 s could be a really great program\, but we NEED people to make it a succes
 s. Take a leap out of your comfort zone and come have some fun. Best-case 
 scenario\, you’ll meet some awesome new people. Worst-case scenario… we ca
 n all laugh at how uncomfortable it is together.\n\nRegistration is STRONG
 LY encouraged\, and there is a space to enter your age since it is relevan
 t to the program. This information will not be seen by anyone but the libr
 arian in charge of the program and will only be used to make sure we stick
  to the target age group for the program. \n
