X-WR-CALDESC:A special celebration-infused memorial will be held for Kitty 
 Hood on Saturday\, April 13. \n\nDr. Kitty Hood passed July 27 of last yea
 r and was a community member involved extensively with the Indiana Free Li
 brary as well as being on the Indiana Borough Council for several years. D
 r. Hood’s husband\, Michael Hood\, former Dean of Fine Arts at IUP\, is he
 ading the plans for the day along with family members.\n\nThe public is in
 vited to activities beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the Rairigh-Bence Funeral H
 ome at 965 Philadelphia St. in Indiana. At the Home\, Kitty’s ashes will b
 e placed on a horse-drawn hearse while family members address the crowd.\n
 \nThe hearse will lead a funeral parade joining by a “Second Line.” This g
 roup\, a New Orleans tradition\, will consist of a lively jazz band provid
 ed by IUP along with family and community members. The massed group will p
 arade up Water Street and stop at the Borough Building where Kitty spent m
 uch time as a Council member. Special guests will address the public befor
 e the procession resumes\, moving on to the Indiana Free Library. Arriving
  at a roughly estimated time of 12:45 p.m.\, additional words will be offe
 red before the cremains are lifted from the hearse.\n\nThose donating $25 
 or more to the Indiana Free Library in Kitty's memory will be invited to a
  reception\, hosted by the Library and the Hood Family\, to be held the af
 ternoon of April 13. Invitations will be sent with additional details.\n\n
