Please Read for this very important Summer Reading message on program registration!

Our summer programs are filling up fast each week and we want everyone to have the same fair chance to attend our programs. 

Because of our spaces here in the library, we unfortunately have to limit the number of people attending. Here are some of our guidelines:

  • Registration opens eight days before each program and closes at 1 AM the morning of the program so that we have time to get things ready for each program. 
  • Registration will not be available or accepted before those eight days or after 1 AM the morning of the program so that we have enough time to set up and have enough supplies for everyone. Please do not call or email before or especially, after these times. We do not see the final registration numbers until early morning and that leaves us very little time to get the last details of our programs ready and/or open registration again because we have a cancellation.
  • The only programs that do not require registration are Tiny Tot Adventurers on Tuesday mornings at 10:30 at Mack Park and our Saturday programs. 
  • We only register people that call us if they DO NOT have access to the internet. If you are having trouble with website registration, please call or email us and we will be happy to help you with registration. We cannot register anyone who emails us unless you are having trouble with your internet or some other circumstance in which you do not have the ability to register on the website. 
  • We are NOT registering ANYONE for the whole summer. Registration is week to week only. We tried whole summer reading registration in the past and yes, it was easier for you AND us, but it was not working as many people who signed up for the whole summer, did not attend programs. That took a spot away from someone who may have wanted to attend. If you have registered and something comes up--we understand, but please email or call us so that we may give your spot to someone else.
  • If registration is full, please accept our apologies, but due to the limited spaces here in the library, we cannot take walk-ins. If you go to register and registration is full, keep an eye on the registration page. If a spot opens because of a cancellation, we will quickly open registration again until the spot is filled. We do not keep a waiting list here at the children's desk. 

Registrations can be made on our website www.indianafreelibrary.org. Here is what you do:

  1. Click on Programs & Events then, Event Calendar.
  2. Find the date and title of the program you want to register for.
  3. Click on the name of the program that catches your eye and review the information of the age range, activities, and location of the program. If this is the program you want...
  4. Click registration in the upper right corner.
  5. Fill out the required areas of the registration page. It is very necessary to provide us with good contact information.
  6. Click on Complete Registration.
  7. Ta-da!! You are registered! You will receive a confirmation email if you provided us with an email address.
