The math concepts needed to develop measurement skills can be taught in the preschool years.  A favorite children’s book, Goldilocks and the Three Bears, teaches the concept of size as Papa Bear has a large chair, Mama Bear has a medium chair, and Baby Bear has a small chair.  Our stories, movement rhymes, and craft will further reinforce this theme. For children ages 3-5.

Our Chinese American neighbors will be getting ready for a New Year celebration and we will join them in stories and songs.   In our book Bringing In The New Year we will watch a family prepare for this occasion as they clean their house, buy new clothes, prepare food, and participate in a dragon parade. A special craft, to take home and share with other members of our family, will complete this program. Especially for ages 2-3.
