Said the Bed.  Reading books should be part of every family’s bedtime routine for it provides a special bonding time while developing language and literacy skills.  Stories, along with several favorite action rhymes, will make this a fun program. White puffy clouds form shapes in the sky and we will try to guess what they represent in our book It Looked Like Spilt Milk.  Action songs, movement exercises, and a craft will complete this program. (PA Forward objectives: Basic Literacy, Civic & Social Literacy)

We will count the leaves as they appear on a tree in the Spring, provide shade in the Summer,  change color in the Fall, and drop to the ground in the Winter in our simple rhyming book One Leaves, Two Leaves, Count With Me.  Then we will make a leaf wreath to take home for decoration. (PA Forward objectives: Basic Literacy, Civic & Social Literacy)
