Toddler Tales – April Showers

The sky started to turn gray, dark clouds started to gather, and the rain came down!  We will find out what happens next as we read Nancy Tafuri’s delight book The Big Storm: A Very Soggy Counting Book.  Then we’ll continue the fun with the action rhymes Rain Rain Go Awayand  “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”.  Adult and child “together time” enhances attachments and trust which is the foundation of social and emotional intelligence. Especially for children ages 2-3.

Rhythm and Rhyme Family Time – Train Travels

We will hear all the noises made by a fast moving train as it travels through the night in our featured book, The Rain Train.  Then we will enjoy our favorite train songs and movement activities before moving to the craft table.  Songs and stories with rhyming text helps children distinguish the sounds within words.
