Toddler Tales – My Garden

Our colorful book, I Have a Garden, and a delightful story about an enormous turnip told on a flannel board, will get our young audience excited about watching flowers and vegetables grow.  We’ll learn several new planting songs including “The Seeds Grow” sung to the tune of “The Farmer in the Dell”.  Singing songs with repetitive phrases and verses that follow a pattern builds critical early math and reading skills.. Rhythm and Rhyme Family Time – Growing Vegetables

Families with children from birth to 5 years old are welcome to join us on Monday mornings for an informal program of stories, action songs, and a craft.  Our special book, Up, Down & Around, uses simply rhyming text and colorful cartoon illustrations to teach children that some vegetables grow underground, some shoot up above the ground, and some like tomato vines twine all around. We’ll continue the fun as we learn several new planting songs before moving to the craft table.
