Teen Advisory Board 
The TAB (Teen Advisory Board) group is a volunteer team of teens that meet once a month. At the meeting, members make suggestions for the library to purchase, help plan teen programs such as Teen Read Week, assist with cutting, folding, assembling, or other projects, discuss what's popular in teen books, magazines, music, and movies, and/or decorate the teen room in the library. TAB also helps out at various events and programs. Snacks always provided at the meetings!
 
WHEN?
The third Saturday of the month 3:30 – 4:30 pm. Runs year-round.
 
WHO?
Any teen between the ages of 13 and 18. You can apply any time of the year!
 
At the meetings you may be asked to:
Make suggestions for the library to purchase
Help plan teen programs, such as Library Fear Factor and the Mystery Night
Discuss what’s popular in teen books, magazines, music, and movies
Decorate/rearrange the Young Adult room in the library
And more!
 
What else does this group do?
TAB members help run other library events 
Encourage teens to use the library
Provide a youth perspective on literary and library needs
 
Requirements:
13 to 17 years of age.
Have a Library Card.
You MUST have an email address that you check regularly
Complete and return a TAB application 
 
Commitment:
Attend monthly meeting
Sign up to help run other library events 
Recruit other teens to the teen events
 
What You Get Out of It:
Snacks at the meetings!
Find new friends that also love the library!
Once a year you can get your picture taken for a personal READ poster!
You can use the library as a reference for job and college applications
Earn volunteer hours that can be used toward scholarship applications and service organizations, such as the Key Club and National Honor Society
The warm fuzzy feeling you get for volunteering your time!
