PA One Book Every Young Child

Each year the Indiana Free Library Children’s Department participates in Pennsylvania’s One Book Every Young Child program. This event has been developed by librarians and museum educators from across Pennsylvania to promote the value and benefits of reading early and often to preschoolers and to encourage family bonding through books and reading. We dedicate a week in April to introducing the selected book to our families through a themed program, guest speakers, and other special events.
