Astronauts in Training: The Night Sky: Stars & Constellations

A constellation is a group of stars that form an imaginary outline or pattern.  Our enchanting story of a father and son observing the night sky, portrayed in Lenny Hort’s book How Many Stars in the Night Sky, will guide us as we create our own constellation with black construction paper, chalk, and star stickers.  As your child’s first teacher, your participation in activities during programs will teach your child that literacy and language are important and enjoyable. (For Ages 3-5)

To register for the Summer Food program, each child must be independently registered 48 hours in advance of each program participation, to allow for food preparation. See the Register tab above and register for the event and the lunch option if you intend to stay for lunch after the program which will be served between 11:30 and 12:30. This year’s Summer Food sponsor is the YMCA. Children not listed in the registration roster will not be able to stay for lunch. There will also be lunch provided on Friday for registered participants, even though there will be no Children’s program in advance. Lunch will be available in the Community Room on Fridays at 12:30 PM. The lunch provided is for children 18 and younger only. Lunch is NOT provided for adults.
