True Story Book Club

Date:
Tuesday, October 2, 2018 - 11:00am to 12:00pm

The Indiana Free Library will hold their True Story Book Club meeting on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 in the reading area on the second floor at 11am. Refreshments will be served.

Under discussion will be: Ghettoside: A True Story of Murder in America by Jill Leovy

In this book, Leovy brings out the failure of the legal institutions in Los Angeles County in recognizing and reducing the extent of violence and black homicide in an area of the city that seems segregated from the rest.  The author demonstrates the magnitude of the problem by illustrating the culture of black violence in South Central LA through the traumatic experiences of two police officers.

Copies will be available at the circulation desk until October 2nd.
