Track  6: Old-School DJ (Session 2)

Despite the advances in digital music technology, many DJs use vinyl records in mixing live music and sampling for remixes. Students will learn about turntables and record sizes and speeds and various tools used to vinyl DJ. After a short, informal lesson, participants will get to use the turntables, learn how to handle records, set splatter speeds, drop the needle, back-cue and cross-fade between decks!

Space is limited to 15 students, so registration is required. Stop in the Children's Department or call 724-465-8841 ext. 6 to register.
